Adding Alarm Content

Adding alarm content to DTM pages enables users to promptly obtain alarm status and respond rapidly to improve O&M efficiency. This article explains how to add alarm content to a DTM page.

Prerequisites

  1. Your account has been assigned the required asset permissions, operation permission, and the menu groups including DTV Center > Configuration Page and EnOS Application Portal > Alarm Management. If not assigned, contact the system administrator.

  2. You have created a DTM page, or you have permission to configure an existing one.

  3. You have completed asset binding for the DTM page.

Adding Alarm Content

You can add alarm content to a DTM page in two ways. They serve different scenarios and can be used in the same DTM page:

  • Binding Alarm to an Element: You can bind alarm rules to an element that represents a specific device or asset (e.g., a pump or fan icon). When an alarm is triggered, the element prompts users through dynamic effects such as turning red or blinking, enabling users to quickly pinpoint the faulty device.

  • Adding an Alarms List: You can add an Alarm List widget to the canvas. The widget will display alarm entries for the selected assets. Users can acknowledge alarms, filter alarms in the list, or select Enter Alarm Console to quickly navigate to the Alarm Management application.

You can choose the appropriate method based on your monitoring and management needs.

Binding Alarm to an Element

  1. Open the DTM page.

  2. On the canvas, select the element to bind alarms to, and then select Alarm Binding in the Panel Settings.

  3. Select +Add and apply the followings in the Alarm Settings dialog:

    • Asset: Select an asset to bind to the element from the assets associated with this DTM page. For more information, see Managing Topology Page Association.

    • Alarm Type: Enter the ID of an alarm type that has been configured in Alarm Management. For how to query an alarm type ID, see Querying Alarm Type ID and Alarm Severity ID.

    • Alarm Severity: Enter the ID of the alarm severity configured in Alarm Management. For how to query an alarm severity ID, see Querying Alarm Type ID and Alarm Severity ID.

    • Action: Select how the element renders when an alarm is triggered. Supported options include Red background and frame and Blink. Multiple selections are allowed.

  4. Select OK to complete the setting.

  5. Select save in the toolbar to save the configuration.

After configuration, at runtime, when an alarm of the specified type and severity is triggered for the bound asset, the element will prompt users by turning red and/or blinking.

If you want to further configure features such as alarm acknowledgment, you can add interactions for the element in Panel Settings > Interaction. You can design interactions such as double-clicking the element to open a dialog or navigating to the alarm management page.
