Video

The video widget shows one or several video streams at the same time on a dashboard page. The addresses are provided dynamically by a data source, and multiple windows can play side by side.

Difference from the CCTV widget: the video widget plays several streams side by side in one widget, but its addresses can only come from a REST API data source and only the Hikvision format is supported. One CCTV widget plays a single stream, but it supports the HLS, FLV, WebRTC, and MP4 stream types, its address can be entered manually or queried by asset ID through the EnOS video service, and it can play back recordings for a given period.

For the common configuration of the Basic and Filter tabs, see Common Configurations for Charts.

Data of Video

The video widget takes the video addresses from Measurement and accepts several measurement fields, each corresponding to one video window. The value of a measurement field should be an accessible video address.

For general information about data sources and data fields, see Common Configurations for Charts > Configuring Data.

Note

Only REST API data sources are supported.

Style of Video

Video Format

Video Format specifies the encoding or container format of the video stream, which must match the video type the data source provides so that the browser can decode and play it correctly. Only Hikvision is supported at present.

Aspect Ratio

Aspect Ratio sets the display ratio of each video window, entered as width:height, with a default of 16:9. Adjust it to match the picture ratio of different cameras and avoid distortion.

Interactions at Runtime

The widget provides the following behaviors at runtime, with no configuration needed:

  • Pause and play: Select the pause button in the function bar at the bottom of the widget to pause the live view, and select it again to resume.

  • Full screen per window: When the widget holds several video windows, you can select one window to show it full screen, and select the picture again to exit.

Note

The Basic tab of the video widget provides neither Show Tooltip nor Export Widget Data, and the widget supports neither widget linkage nor style copying.
