Widget Overview¶
A widget is the smallest configurable unit in DTV pages, and can be added to dashboard pages and single-page application pages, to present business data in the form of charts, tables, maps, and so on, with support for data filtering and interaction.
Widget Types¶
Widgets are divided into the following two categories:
Chart Widgets: Used to display and analyze data, such as charts, tables, maps, and metric cards.
Container Widgets: Used to organize multiple chart widgets, and configure their layout, style, and filtering method in a unified manner. Containers include basic containers and array containers.
Chart widgets can be placed directly on the page, or placed within a container and grouped by tab or card. Containers are suitable for grouping related charts or batch-comparing data across multiple objects.
Configuration of Charts and Containers¶
Both charts and containers support configuring the title and widget appearance, using the same configuration methods, such as setting the title content, layout, and font, as well as the widget’s size, padding, rounded corners, decoration, and background.
The configuration focus differs between the two:
Chart: Directly configure the data source, category, data fields, aggregation method, and chart internal filters, to determine which data is displayed and how it is presented.
Container: Configure the grouping and layout of charts, such as tabs, grid, and cards; you can also use a container filter to simultaneously link multiple child charts, and use a metric filter to control which metrics end users can view. A container does not directly affect chart data; data configuration must be completed separately in each child chart.
