Key Concepts

This section introduces the major concepts involved in EnOS EOC.

Organization

Organization indicates the tenant, the owner of the resource.

Resource Pool

A resource pool is an abstraction of a class of cloud resource services used as a logical level of isolation.

Product Line

A product line indicates a group of related product collections that can be unified for management.

Application

Applications are logical abstractions of microservices, with one or more applications forming a product. There are two main types of applications.

  • Host Applications: Host-deployed applications support to be created and maintained manually through the system.

  • Container Applications: Container-deployed applications are maintained automatically.

For more information, see Applications

Network Zone

A network zone is a group of networks formed by dividing hosts and applications deployed on top of hosts at the network level based on business necessity, and it contains IPv4 or IPv6 subnets.

Alert Rule

The alert Rule is to set the threshold value and comparison rules for the metrics involved in the assets, and it will be confirmed in the alert engine in accordance with the rules when the metrics are collected, and if it meets the trigger conditions of the alert rule, the corresponding alert event will be generated.

For more information, see Alert Rules

Silence

Silence is to be proactive in preventing alert notifications for alert events within a specified time and range. When the system is expected to generate a large number of alert events and notifications due to deployment or upgrade, the silence rule can be configured in advance to reduce the disturbance of O&M staffs by unnecessary notifications.
