Managing OU Announcements


OU administrators can send announcements to OU users by email or the message pop-up window of Application Portal. This article describes how OU administrators to create, publish, and manage OU announcements.

Creating and Publishing Announcements


  1. Select Announcement from the left navigation pane of the Admin Console.

  2. Select New Announcement to open the New Announcement pop-up window.

  3. Configure the following information in the New Announcement pop-up window.


    Field Description
    Title The title of the announcement.
    Text The content of the announcement.
    Notifying Type The type to send the announcement, including Message (send the announcement to all users in the OU) and Mail (send the announcement to the specified users).
    Email Recipient Specify the users to receive the announcement email, only available when the Notifying Type is Mail.
    You can specify the recipients by user group (Send by User Group) or by user (Send by User).


  4. (Optional) If you send your announcement to the specified users or user groups, select Add User or Add Users to add the recipients of your announcement email.

  5. (Optional) If you need to save the draft for later publishing, select Save as Draft. You can continue to edit or publish the draft in the Unpublished list.

  6. Select Publish to publish the announcement.

Viewing the Details of Published Announcements


  1. Select Announcement from the left navigation pane of the Admin Console.
  2. Select the Published tab.
  3. View the details of the published announcements such as titles, notifying types, and last updated time, in the announcement list.

Managing Unpublished Announcements


You can view your unpublished announcement drafts in the Unpublished list, and manage the drafts by the following steps:

  1. Select Announcement from the left navigation pane of the Admin Console.
  2. Select the Unpublished tab.
  3. You can perform the following tasks to manage unpublished announcements:
    • Edit: select Edit i_edit and edit your draft in the pop-up window. After your editing, you can select Publish to publish the announcement.
    • Delete: select Delete i_remove to delete your draft.
