Quickstart: Configuring and Handling Alarms¶
This article introduces the entire process of configuring and using Alarm Management.
Prerequisites¶
Before starting, make sure you have the following ready:
The current account has been assigned the required asset permissions, operation permissions, and a menu group. If not assigned, contact the application administrator.
The assets have been connected to Alarm Management through EnOS Onboarding Tool.
To configure ticket responses rules for alarms or to create tickets for alarms, please ensure that the current OU is obtained and authorized Work Management. If not obtained or authorized, contact the application creator.
Step 1: Configuring Alarms¶
Asset administrators can configure alarms by the following steps:
Log in to EnOS Application Portal and select Alarm Management from the application list.
Select Alarm Rule in the left navigation bar and then see creating an alarm trigger rule to define an alarm trigger rule.
Select Alarm Notification in the left navigation bar and then see creating a pop-up notification rule or creating an email/SMS notification rule to define the notification rule after the alarm is triggered.
Select Alarm Response in the left navigation bar and then see creating an acknowledgment response rule to define an acknowledgment response rule for the triggered alarm, or under the OU with Work Management, see creating a ticket response rule to define a ticket response rule for the triggered alarm.
Select Alarm Config in the left navigation bar and then see creating a field configuration rule to configure fields in the alarm list of different site types.
Step 2: Viewing Alarms¶
Application users can not only view alarm notifications in pop-ups , or by email/SMS, or they can view alarms by the following steps:
Log in to EnOS Application Portal and select Alarm Management in the application list.
Select Active Alarm in the left navigation bar and then see managing active alarm records to view active alarms.
You can also select Alarm Log in the left navigation bar and then see managing alarm log records to view all triggered alarms.
Select Alarm Statistics in the left navigation bar and then see viewing alarm statistics to view statistical data ,such as Statistics Overview and Alarm Ranking.
Step 3: Handling Alarms¶
Application users can handle alarms by the following steps:
Select Active Alarm in the left navigation bar and then see responding to active alarm records to acknowledge active alarms, create tickets for alarms under the OU that has obtained Work Management, or shelving alarms.
Select Alarm Log and then see responding to alarm log records to acknowledge the active or inactive alarms that have been triggered, create tickets for alarms under the OU that has obtained Work Management, or shelving alarms.
Select Alarm Shelving and then see restoring alarms to restore shelved alarm records.
