Points Mapping¶
Points mapping refers to mapping the measurement points of various devices to the model measurement points pre-configured in EnOS, so as to partially automate device measurement point mapping. The results of measurement point mapping are exported into files, which can be directly used in onboarding templates related to EnOS Edge to quickly achieve data upload and forwarding.
You can use the following two mapping methods for measurement point mapping:
Auto Mapping: Exact or fuzzy matching of source point names to model point names.
Manual Mapping: This is used to improve the results of automatic mapping, and any model point can be selected to map to the source measurement point.
Prerequisites¶
Ensure that th current account has access to Point Mapping menu. Contact the application administrator if necessary.
Ensure that the required device/component types, manufacturers, and model No.s have been assigned in the current OU.
Creating a Mapping Task¶
You need to create a mapping task, import the source point table, and perform automatic and manual mapping of the source measurement points. Once mapping is complete, you can export the mapping results and download the export file.
Step 1: Importing a Point File¶
Select Point Mapping in the left navigation bar.
Select Import Point Table to open the Import Point Table pop-up.
Enter Point Table Name in the pop-up.
Select Download Template, edit and upload the point table file.
After uploading, select Import to finish importing the point table.
Step 2: Mapping Points Automatically and Manually¶
Select Point Mapping menu in the left navigation bar.
In the point table list, select the point table that for which the measurement points need to be mapped, and select the corresponding Map button.
Select Auto Map to match Source Point Name/Description and Model Point Name/Description fields automatically.
After automatic mapping, points may appear in the following 3 statuses:
Exact Mapping: The name fields match exactly, and will be updated in Mapped list. You can modify the mapping on Mapped tab. For more information, see Editing Mappings.
Fuzzy Mapping: The name fields do not match exactly, and the point remains in Unmapped list with Fuzzy Mapping tags. Manual mapping is required for further confirmation.
Unmapped: The name fields do not match at all, and the point remains in Unmapped list and needs to be manually mapped.
In Unmapped list, select Map Manually for the data.
In the manual mapping pop-up, select model points based on your needs, then select OK to complete manual mapping.
You can complete all unmapped items through manual mapping, after which the data that has been manually mapped will be updated in Mapped list.
Step 3: Exporting Mapping Results¶
Select Point Mapping menu in the left navigation bar.
Select Export Mapping Results for the corresponding point table.
After the mapping result is successfully exported, select Download Export File above to complete the export of the mapping result.
Managing Mapping Task¶
Mapped items can be edited and removed, and mapping tasks also can be deleted.
Editing Mapping Results¶
Select Point Mapping menu in the left navigation bar.
Select Map for the point table, then enter the Mapped tab.
Select the mapped item to manually edit, and then select the corresponding Edit Mapping.
In the Edit Mapping pop-up, select model points as needed, then select OK to complete the mapping editing.
Remove Mapping Results¶
Select Point Mapping menu in the left navigation bar.
Select Map for the point table, then enter Mapped tab.
Select the mapped item to edit manually, then select the corresponding Remove Mapping.
After the second confirmation, the removal of the mapped item is complete.
The removed data item will reappear in Unmapped list. If re-mapping is required, select the corresponding Map Manually and select a model point for mapping.
Deleting Point Tasks¶
Select Point Mapping menu in the left navigation bar.
Select Delete for the corresponding point table.
After the second confirmation, the point table is deleted.
