Device File Storage Resource¶
Device Connectivity & Management enables users to store the measurement point data of connected devices with the device file storage resource, which is automatically allocated by the system when the organization (OU) is created. A 0.1TB storage space is given by default to ensure that you can use the related functions as quickly as possible.
Resource Application Scenarios¶
Uploading of file-type data points: You need to request for the Device File Storage resource for storing the file-type measurement points, attributes, and event data uploaded by based on the HTTP protocol connection.
Over-the-air (OTA) upgrades: OTA files are usually stored under a path by the file service. When a device actively requests or EnOS actively pushes for an upgrade, you need to request for the Device File Storage resource to store the OTA file downloaded by the device from EnOS and start the upgrade process.
For more information on device file storage, see Using the Device Simulator, Firmware OTA Upgrade Overview, and HTTP-based Connection.
Note
The maximum number of resource instances that can be applied for under each OU is 1.
Resource Specification¶
The storage capacity of the device file storage resource is in Terabyte (TB), and the amount of storage is calculated according to the characteristics of the device storage task. If the capacity is not enough for your requirements, you can apply for more storage. The currently supported size is 0.1 - 1,000 TB.
Note
If you are about to upload a large amount of large file type data, it is recommended to go to Resource Management > Device Connectivity & Management > Device File Storage to request for more storage capacity.
