Tutorial Overview

This tutorial uses the smart battery as a sample scenario and describes how to use the EnOS Digital Twin Visualization to access battery data and develop battery metrics pages with low/no code.

Scenario

In the energy industry, monitoring the status of batteries during charging is a common business scenario. Temperature is an important battery status and safety indicator. By connecting the smart battery devices to EnOS, you can ingest the real-time temperature data, and use DTV to create insightful dashboards used to monitor and analyze the battery health.

In Smart Battery Dashboards, the operation and maintenance personnel of battery plants can acquire battery KPIs through the following functions:

  • In Map, you can observe the location and situation of each battery, or link the location with other KPIs.

  • In Metric Card, you can observe the real-time situations of battery assets, including health level, cycle number, capacity, voltage, current, and temperature.

  • In Mix Chart, you can observe the past trends of battery situation, including voltage, current, and temperature.

  • In Pie Chart, you can compare the real-time battery situations, such as capacity.

  • In Heat Map, you can compare the past trends of battery situation, such as voltage and current.

  • You can use Filter to quickly observe individual battery.

Tutorial Objectives

In this tutorial, you learn how to:

  • Prepare simulation data based on models

  • Create a Smart Battery dashboard

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that you have signed up for an individual account or an enterprise account to access the EnOS Management Console and EnOS Application.

  • You need to be assigned the required asset permission and operation permission, and a menu group containing the Models, Device Management and Time Series Data Management menu. If not assigned, contact the application administrator.
