Managing Alarm Log Records


On the Alarm Log page, you can select and view all alarm records within 3 months and export alarm records.

Prerequisites


Before starting, make sure the current account has been assigned the required asset permissions, operation permissions, and a menu group, including Alarm Log. If not assigned, contact the application administrator.

Viewing the Alarm Record List


  1. Select Alarm Log in the left navigation bar to access the Alarm Log page.

  2. If there are multiple site types in the current OU, you need to switch the Site Type tab at the top of the page to view the alarm list of the current site type.

    Or, you can view the alarm list directly after selecting Alarm Log.

  3. EnOS Alarm Management supports filtering alarm records under the specific site type based on the following filters.


    Filter

    Description

    Site

    Select the specific site of the current site type. You can select multiple sites, otherwise all sites are selected by default.

    Alarm Group

    Select the group type that corresponds to the current site type. You can select multiple groups, otherwise, all groups are selected by default.
    If there are multiple group types of the current site type and all groups are selected, the filters of Alarm Severity and Alarm Type are invalid.

    Alarm Severity

    Select the alarm severity of the current group type. You can select multiple sites, otherwise all severities are selected by default.

    Alarm Type

    Select the alarm type or subtype of the current group type. You can select multiple sites, otherwise all types are selected by default.

    Acknowledgment Status

    Select whether the alarm has been acknowledged. By default, all status are selected.
    If Acked is selected, you can filter out alarm records configured with Alarm ACK Response that have already been acknowledged.
    If UNACKed is selected, You can filter out alarm records configured with Alarm ACK Response that have not yet been acknowledged.


  4. Alarm Management also supports filtering more restrictive information based on specific site types in the detailed filtering window. Select the down button Figure: Open Filter in the upper right corner of the filter bar to open the detailed filter window.


    Filter

    Description

    Device

    Select the device type that triggers the alarm. By default, all are selected.
    Device Type: Select the device type of the current site type, then select the structure button tree_icon to check the specific devices that trigger the alarms of the current device type.
    Component Type: If the selected device type contains component types, select the component type of the current device type. The structure button tree_icon can be selected to check the specific components that trigger the alarms of the current component type.

    Object Level

    If the selected site type or device type contains component types, you can select Site level alarms, Device level alarms, and Component level alarms. by default, all are selected.

    Time

    You can filter alarm records with a start time within the set time interval.
    You can query alarm records up to the last 3 months.

    Active Status

    Select the current status of the alarm. By default, all are selected.
    If Active is selected, alarm records that have been triggered but not recovered can be filtered out.
    If Inactive is selected, alarm records that have been triggered and restored can be filtered out.


  5. Select Apply to filter alarm records that match the filter items.

    To clear the set filter items, select Reset.

    To save a filter, select Save Filter Figure: Save Filter at the top right of the page. Next time, you can directly select Apply to view alarm records based on the saved filter items of the current site type.

  6. To configure the display order of the fields in the alarm list and whether these fields are displayed, select the Edit Column Figure: Edit column in the upper right corner of the alarm list.

  7. To display the start and end time of alarm records according to the time zones of sites that triggered alarms, enable the Show Local Time option.

    To display the start and end time of alarm records according to the time zone of your current computer’s browser, disable the Show Local Time option.

    Note

    The Timezone column displays the time zones of sites that triggered alarms. Data in this column does not vary whether or not the Show Local Time option is enabled.

Viewing Alarm Details


  1. Select Alarm Log in the left navigation bar to access the Alarm Log page.

  2. Select any field of an alarm record in the alarm list of the current site type, access the alarm details page, and view the information on the tab.

Details Tab


Select the Details tab to view the following information.


Field

Description

Basic information

You can view basic information, such as Alarm Severity, Alarm Type, Occurrences (Today), Start Time, and so on.

Comments

Add or view comments to the alarm record.

Relevant Alarms Before and After 30 s

Based on the current alarm record, you can view linked alarm records before and after 30 seconds of the same site. You can also select the linked alarm records in the list to view detailed information about those alarms.

Historical Alarms

Based on the current alarm record, you can view up to 200 historical alarm records of the same asset.

Analysis Tab


Select the Analysis tab to view data analysis diagrams of measurement points or KPI alarms.


Field

Description

Time Granularity

Specify the time interval of the measurement point or KPI data in the chart. You can select the original value of the selected measurement point, KPI ,or the common query interval in Common Data Service. For more about the query interval, see Registering a Virtual Measurement Point and Registering a Source Metric.

Display Interval

Displays the measurement point or KPI data of the previous period. The following time granularity is supported: raw data, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 hour.

Time Range

Select the start and end of the data in the chart.

Work Management Tab


Select the Work Management tab to view the ticket information.

Note

The Work Management tab is only displayed if the following conditions are met at the same time.

  • The current OU has obtained and been authorized Work Management. If not available, contact the application creator.

  • The ticket response rule is configured for this alarm. If not configured, contact the asset administrator.

  • A work order or service request has been created for this alarm.


Field

Description

Basic information

View the ID and status information of the ticket. If the current account has acquired the Service Requests menu, you can select the ID to access the service requests page and view the details. If the current account has acquired the Work Orders menu, you can select the ID to access the work orders page and view the details.

Log

View the status, creator, creation time, and other information about the ticket.

Exporting Alarm Records


  1. Select Alarm Log in the left navigation bar to access the Alarm Log page.

  2. Select Export Figure: Export in the upper right corner of the alarm list to export all alarm records of the current site type:

    • If the number of alarm records is ≤ 2000: select Export to export the alarm records directly via the browser. The export file format is Excel by default.

    • If the number of alarm records is > 2000: Select Export to automatically trigger the offline task and there are two ways to download these alarm records:

      • After the offline task has been successfully triggered, select Download File in the File Exported prompt bar to export the alarm records in Excel format.

      • In the EnOS - Alarm Data Export Successful email you receive, click the link to access the EnOS Application Portal > Alarm Management > Alarm Log page under the default site type, then select Download File in the prompt column and export as an Excel file.

Commenting On Alarm Records


  1. Select Alarm Log in the left navigation bar to access the Alarm Log page.

  2. You can add comments to alarm records of the current site type in the following two ways:

    • Select any field of an alarm record, access the alarm details page, and add comments in the comments section of the Details tab.

    • Hover over the batch action button batch_icon in the upper right corner of the alarm list, select Batch Comment, and then view and comment on multiple alarm records.
