Term Management¶

A business term is a unified industry name for certain things in a specific field, for example, power generation. In the energy field, it refers to the amount of electricity generated from an energy source within a specific time period. Terms help to define data concepts. Associating terms with data objects helps business users understand data across different usage scenarios.

The Data Catalog service also manages business terms as a metadata type (Business Term).
